Hi I’m Akshay Nair, I write poems and stories, and I build things slowly. This space exists for the words and thoughts that form in the quiet moments between living and becoming.

I’ve always been drawn to the small, often overlooked details of everyday life: the pauses, the in-between moments, and the thoughts that surface when things are quiet.
Writing helps me make sense of those moments. Sometimes it becomes a poem, sometimes a story, and sometimes just a note left behind as a reminder.
Alongside writing, I spend a large part of my life building ideas, projects, and work that grow over time. This balance between reflection and creation shapes how I see the world and how I choose to document it.
Life with Akshay is not a blog in the traditional sense. It’s a personal archive. A place to return to. A space where words are shared without urgency, and where meaning matters more than frequency

My Philosophy

I don’t write to keep up with trends or timelines.
I write when something feels worth holding on to.
If you’re here, I hope you find something that resonates with a line, a thought, or a moment that stays with you a little longer than expected.

My Journey

My journey hasn’t followed a straight line.
I’ve moved between interests, ideas, and phases, learning, building, unlearning, and starting again more than once.
Writing has been the one constant. At different times, it took different forms: poetry, personal notes, and reflections, always helping me slow down and make sense of what was happening around me.
Along the way, I found myself drawn to building things, such as projects, platforms, and work that required patience and clarity. Balancing creation with reflection became important to me.
Life with Akshay grows out of that balance. It’s a place shaped by experience, not expertise, a quiet record of what I notice, what I learn, and what I choose to hold on to.
